Physical fitness is an important part of being healthy.
One can only become physically fit through regular physical exercise, work
or workouts.
Benefits of Being Fit
If you are fit, you are strong and healthy enough to carry out your
daily activities such as work and play, without much problem.
You can do whatever you want, whenever you feel like it. You will have
enough strength, stamina and drive to put you in the appropriate
mood and mind when you need to get a task accomplished. You will also
be in a very good position to help others. The tremendous satisfaction
from being physically fit and able to do what you want, can contribute
greatly to your overall "feel-good" and happiness.

stamina and mood to do anything at all.
Very often, your work and play can be greatly interrupted because your physical
body is not "fit" for the necessary task. This can bring about much frustrations,
disappointments, pains and sufferings.
Not being fit enough physically, can greatly affect
your overall health too, as your physical body can be hurt, sick or
infected with disease easily due to a much weaker immune system.
How To Keep Fit
To become fit is not difficult. What you need is the willingness to take action
and the resolve to persist after you have started. Self-discipline will
make a lot of different whether you could actually effectively
start and sustain a fitness program or routine.
One of the easiest way to increase your overall physical fitness
fitness is to walk more. Yes, as simple as that and QED (quite easily done).
All you need to do is to consciously increase more opportunities
to walk, in your daily life.
For example, instead of taking a public bus, subway or taxi directly
to the front door of your office, why not get off a kilometre or block
away, and walk the rest of the journey to your office? Of course you need
to make sure that you are in the right clothing (and have a change of clothe
in the office later before work start) and have sufficient time to reach
the workplace. If you do this everyday, can you imagine the amount of
extra physical exercise you have given yourself and how much fitter you would
have become?
If you do it right, you would actually enjoy doing it and start every
working day in a fresh, "geared-up" and "ready" mood. Isn't that great?
Climbing staircases is another simple and good way to become more fit.
Instead of taking the elevator (lift), why not climb up the staircase
to your apartment. Start slowly and steadily. For example, if you are
staying on the 15th floor, in the beginning,
why not "walk" (slowly) up the staircase to the 5th floor and then take the
lift up to your floor. Later, when you become fitter and fitter,
you could climb / jog the staircase up to the 10th floor or all the way
to the 15th floor you are staying on without the need to take the lift
at all unless you are in a hurry. See?
You could also choose to go swimming, walking, jogging, etc.
maybe 1-3 times per week alone or with someone else. As long as you do it
regularly and continuously, your fitness level will increase.
And with the better health and fitness, you naturally will become a much
happier person.
Remember: Whatever method you choose to start getting yourself fit,
always make sure that it is perfectly safe to do so. When in doubt,
always make the necessary preparations or take the necessary precautions.
